What should I clean the wall with?

We recommend wiping down the wall with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free rag.

I need to move/reinstall a Cleat that used adhesive strips. Are they reusable if they've been stuck to a wall?

For safety purposes, if adhesive strips have made any contact with a wall, they should not be used again. Follow the instructions for safe removal and replace with new adhesive strips. Four replacement adhesive strips are included in every Spacekit order.

How do I attach new adhesive strips to a Cleat?

-Remove old adhesive strips and clean the back of the Cleat with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free rag. (Note: the two different sides of the adhesive strips. One side has a RED liner and the other side has a BLACK liner and is labeled as the "wall side".

-Locate the two grooves where the old adhesive strips were located, the new adhesive strips will be placed here.

-Remove the RED adhesive tab liner and place strips with the exposed adhesive side face down on the Cleat. Ensure that each adhesive strip is oriented correctly on the Cleat.

-Using the edge of the BLACK liner can be helpful for aligning the adhesive strips properly with the edge of the Cleat.

-When the adhesive strips are correctly aligned, lightly run your finger along the strip to make sure it is making full contact with the Cleat. (Note: If you are working with a Level Cleat, be careful not to push the adhesive strip into the hole where the level resides.)

-Once both adhesive strips are applied, flip the Cleat over and press firmly onto a flat surface to make sure the adhesive strips create a solid bond to the Cleat.

What widths does the Spacer provide?

The Spacer has options for two different spacing widths:

-The smaller width is 2 inches.    
-The larger width is 4 inches.

What surfaces can the adhesive strips be used on?

Adhesive strips can be used on painted walls, smooth wood, metal, tile, glass walls and surfaces. (Note: Wait 7 days before applying adhesive strips to a freshly painted wall.)

What surfaces can the screws be used on?

The included Wall-Dog™ style screws can be installed with a Philips head screwdriver into drywall and wood without pre-drilling. Fastening into concrete, hollow or grout-filled concrete masonry, brick and plaster requires a pre-drilled hole using a 3/16" ANSI bit. (not included)

Can the Large and Mini size Frames be used together?

Yes! Spacekit is designed to allow you to mix both sizes of Frames together to create a look that is totally your own.

Do you offer installation services?

Spacekit is designed to be easily installed by you with no expertise required! If you’re interested in installing large quantities or decorating a commercial space, we can provide a Spacekit on-site specialist to assist with your installation.
